Billed as gas mechanical switchers, these small locos were built in the late 1920s as replacements for steam power. They were used in all types of industrial applications, including quarries, steel mills, brick yards, logging operations and cranberry bogs, while cabless models were operated in mines. The models are powered by a Machima five-pole motor, which fits entirely under the hood, leaving the cab area open. This gives you the option of building a cabless unit, or adding interior detail. The kits include all of the necessary parts, including cab interior.
