LEVEL 1: Build-A-Scene
Build-A-Scene: Bring your curriculum to life with this engaging, miniature tabletop activity!
Description: Build-A-Scene is a creative and educational experience, where students construct miniature dioramas. As a curriculum companion, it’s an ideal hands-on tabletop activity to enhance a study of the railroad’s history and geography and its transformative impact on the country.
Benefits: Incorporating hands-on activities into the classroom boosts memory retention, engages students, fosters motivation, sharpens critical thinking, and improves both behavior and social skills.
What’s Included: Each kit contains everything you need to craft a small, decorated 4” x 6” railroad scene. Connect 8 or more completed dioramas to form a loop. For even more fun, add a locomotive with cars and a power controller to create a fully operational railroad!

LEVEL 3: Build-A-Club
Build-A-Club: Start Your Own Model Railroad Adventure!
Description: Build-A-Club provides everything you need to start and maintain a thriving model railroad club in your school or community. Choose from three layout options of varying sizes and price points to match your club’s needs and budget. Each kit is fully expandable to grow alongside your club membership.
Benefits: Participants in Build-A-Club gain a wide range of technical skills, including basic engineering, electrical wiring, carpentry, and model building. They also develop project management and problem-solving skills as they design and build layouts. Completing a model railroad layout or contributing to a club project instills a sense of accomplishment and pride, boosting confidence and inspiring students to embrace new challenges.
What’s Included: Each modular kit provides all the essentials to begin constructing an HO scale layout, including the foundational base, power supplies, wiring, track, scenery, and more. As the club grows, additional funds from dues or activity fees can be allocated to purchase structures, accessories, and trains to enhance the model railroad experience.
