As a plug and play format board, theTSU-IM1000 fits perfectly as a drop-in replacement for the light board. Hardware is already in place to accommodate the use of LEDs without the need for resistors. It also includes a speaker wiring harness (speakers sold separately).
 
Along with a 16-bit digital sound processor and built-in effects, the Tsunami TSU-IM1000 includes a 1-watt amplifier, HyperdriveM motor control, and four voltage-regulated outputs for HyperlightM lighting effects. It is compatible with NMRA DCC Standards and Recommended Practices. The Tsunami TSU-IM1000 can produce over 14 sound effects, including: a short and long horn (16 selections), exhaust (eight throttle notches), engine startup, engine shutdown, bell, radiator fans, compressor, dynamic brakes, brake squeal, coupler clank, and more! All sounds appropriate to the prototype are included in the decoder, so no special software or programming is necessary.
