State Tool & Die
Founded in 1945, State Tool & Die began producing model railroad products in 1993 on the advice of noted steel industry modeler Dean Freytag. At that time, Dean noted a need in the HO Scale market for a variety of steel industry modeling products. The line expanded to include hot metal cars, the Universal Mill Car and other products used for modeling rolling stock used in steel mills and related industries. Today, all high-quality kits are designed and manufactured in the company shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
