This Model Power 4-6-0 Mogul is based on locomotives developed as railroads began moving from four- to six-wheel steam power. The 2-6-0 Mogul was soon a favorite for heavier freight work. Although quickly replaced by bigger and more powerful designs, some railroads found the combination of light weight and good pulling power was ideal for branches and heavy switching chores. This engine is typical of the last 2-6-0s built around WWI that ran into the 1950s on some roads.
 
This model features a 5-pole Mashima motor with flywheel for smooth operation of standard DC layouts. A die cast boiler, separately applied metal handrails, golden white LED, factory-installed traction tire, roadname-specific details, front and rear knuckle couplers, LED wiring to tender, 4-4-0 pony truck pickup and extra weight in tender make the 2-6-0 Mogul a great locomotive for all steam-era layouts. The model is DCC compatible (decoder sold separately).
