Created by the Lima Locomotive Company, Berkshires were the original Superpower steam locos. Some later 2-8-4s are still in operation today for excursions and public display, including Nickel Plate #765 and Pere Marquette #1225, which operated at TrainFest 2009 in Owasso, Michigan, to the delight of thousands of fans.
