Originally dubbed American Standard and later simply referred to as Americans or 4-4-0s, engines built to this classic pattern were turned out by many builders. 4-4-0s held sway on the nations mainline roads for forty years and went on to provide the basic blueprint for engine development. Featuring some very distinctive smokestack styles, these finely proportioned and nicely detailed HO model engines are fully assembled and completely read-to-run. Locomotives feature traction tires and tender-mounted motor for best scale effect.
