Built starting in late 2003, the prototypes for the Atlas HO Scale TrinityRail(R) 64' Modern Reefer was designed to replace aging reefers. Large enough to fit the equivalent of four 53' truck trailer contents, these excess-height refrigerated boxcars have given new life to the once flourishing refrigerated movement of perishable good. In recent years these cars received new Carrier reefer units for better efficiency. Car features a detailed injection-molded body with applied etched-metal or plastic details, accurate paint, crisp lettering, roadname-appropriate body detailing and Kadee(R) knuckle couplers. This TrinityRail(R) 64' Reefer is one of many Atlas HO Scale reefers.
