Product Information

This Bachmann HO Scale USRA Light 4-6-2 Pacific is a model of the very popular steam locomotive developed during World War I. The advent of heavier, longer passenger trains at the dawn of the 20th century called for a new type of steam locomotive. The 4-6-2 answered that call in 1901. During the First World War, the United States Railroad Administration manufactured a standardized 4-6-2 for delivery to several railroads under the organization's control. The design proved so successful, that a number of railroads built their own copies of the design upon returning to private ownership. The Bachmann USRA 4-6-2 Light Pacific is ready for the DCC decoder of your choice with an eight-pin socket, directional LED lighting, authentic detail, and a varied selection of prototypical paint schemes. This model features an injection-molded body, road-specific headlight and smokebox configurations separately-applied details including bell, piping, cab window deflectors, and grab irons, fine decoration, RP25 contour wheels for operation on Code 70 and larger rail and E-Z Mate(R) Mark II knuckle couplers. It performs best on 18" or larger radius curves. The USRA 4-6-2 Light Pacific is one of many Bachmann HO Scale locomotives.
