Run for Fun There's something special about watching trains, model or prototype! Whether custom creations or layout-ready replicas, running for the fun of it is a great way to kick back and relax anytime. We're just in time to catch Wisconsin & Southern power passing on Adam Bunkleman's layout. The Inside Track
Not all the superdetails have to be on the outside! A few figures or some furnishings will quickly transform the interior of models like this superb Superliner by Dave Quintero.
Twenty-Four Car Consist Check out this fantastic-looking 24-car consist on a test run by @customtrains. Pulled by two UP units, there’s a lot of variety in the car types and loads, making it easy to picture the train working its way toward the next division point. Trial Run Oh that moment of exhilaration when you’ve been working hard on a new layout to finally embark on that first test run! @nk_railroad was kind enough to share that experience with the rest of us, and it looks like a success. That’s quite an impressive track plan, especially considering it’s his first layout.
Old to New Favorite models and memories go hand-in-hand. For Eric Smith, that includes these BN models, purchased from Walthers with paper route money 35 years ago! With lots of railroads back up and running these past few months, what's the oldest equipment you have in regular service?
Each week we’re witnessing some amazing modeling work on display, which is critical in these extraordinary times. Keep modeling and keep sharing. Your work is an inspiration to us and to others as well. And be sure to tag @Waltherstrains or use the hashtag #Walthers for a chance to be featured!
