Nothing Could be Finer!
This intriguing Boston & Albany dining car by R.B. Phillips serves up some mighty creative modeling! Blending a plastic Walthers heavyweight with the metal sides and other details from a vintage "Fun to Build" Walthers car kit is a winning recipe for a unique addition to his roster.
There Once Was a Time
Beautifully composed and shot image of this urban street scene set in the late 1970s to early-80s next to an elevated commuter station. The image by @martintakespics92 evokes a lot of emotion through just one simple scene. Well-done!
Down by the Rails
Not sure what it is aboutthis photo by @montanapattrack, but it’s compelling to say the least. Modeling the CSX line in Michigan, the images in his profile show a lot of interesting scenes and points of interest that make this feel like a lived-in, and worked-in place.
The Cool Northwoods are Calling
Northern Wisconsin and Michigan's upper peninsula were popular summer get-aways for decades. But the coolest thing about the region were definitely the trains! John Mueller takes us back in time along the CNW's route where F-Ms slug it out with a long ore train.
We Will Rock You!
Now you've probably heard of people making mountains out of molehills, but creative model railroaders have used everything from papier mache, window screen and plaster, insulating foam and more in the quest for ultra-realistic rock formations. Alexander Pierce shares this neat in-progress shot of a tunnel and detailed rock wall for his HOn3 layout.
