With the National Model Railroad Build-Off nearing conclusion we’re sharing some of the semi-finalists posts from this last week. Semi-finalists were announced on July 14th, and finalists were announced on July 23rd. Judges have had an unenviable task of selecting the top of all the extraordinary submissions that have been received, and from now until August 5th, you can get in on the action! Simply visit walthers.com/nmrbo and you can view all semifinalists’ entries, and vote for your favorite to receive the People’s Choice Award.

Everybody knows life on a farm is hard work, but who ever thought it was this fun?! One of our Youth Individual entrants’ layouts, posted by @americas_untold_story illustrates in 10 images the belief that hard work leads to hard play.

Adult Individual entrant @gregorybaker1981 produced a quick tour of his unique and well-detailed layout submission. Check out the scene in front of the Feed and Seed, and the perfect little trestle bridge on the right side of the layout. Good stuff!

Could Use A Fresh Coat
Our last entrant featured today from the Build-Off comes from @potash_pat with a wealth of photos linked on his profile page of houses and structures that could all use a fresh coat of paint. The selective and sporadic nature of the weathered look really makes for a convincing final product. |
