Railroads were quick to recognize the possibilities of pre-fab metal buildings, and many used larger versions of popular "pole buildings" to expand car and loco shops. With a wide-open floor plan, these structures provide plenty of inside space for track and tools and some include a small office and locker room. Coming soon in both Single- and Double-Track versions, these new Cornerstone® Modern Engine House kits are perfect facilities for short lines and industrial railroads or as support facilities in larger engine terminals. Designed for easy construction and customizing, parts are included to build run-through or single-end structures, plus left or right entryways with two styles of front and rear walls. There are also two styles of big overhead doors measuring a scale 18' tall to provide plenty of clearance for today's equipment.
